Disney World tests Attraction Photo Review to improve attraction photos
Have you ever purchased Memory Maker at Walt Disney World to get your ride photos and when you looked online you found the photos were of another family?
Disney is trying to make the attraction photo experience more convenient by providing you with options to select the correct photo in you My Disney Experience app. Think of this as a virtual photo wall, similar to the one you see at the end of rides. This new product is called the Attraction Photo Review.
Normally, photos that are taken on attractions such as Slinky Dog Dash, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, the Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean are associated with the long-range RFID chip in your Magic Band and placed in your PhotoPass account. Sometimes the system gets it wrong.
Under the Attraction Photo Review, you might get a chance to make sure the photo is of you and your family.
Here’s how the pilot worked:
Once you log into your My Disney Experience account and then go to My Photos. This is what popped up.

We were then asked to participate in this pilot program.

Then a variety of photos were presented and we were asked to select the photos we wanted to add to our gallery. We are the ones on the left. You can’t tell, but we are making some very funny faces. (We blurred the faces of the party on the right.)

The correct photo immediately showed up in our gallery.

The next step was the three-question feedback survey.

Providing this option could definitely help improve the experience. Considering you don’t get a second chance at the photo.
