Tik Tok ‘Ratatouille’ fan gets a sneak peek of new EPCOT attraction

Emily Jacobsen, the 26-year-old teacher from New York who sparked a worldwide social media phenomenon with her 16-second Tik Tok “Ode to Remy,” received a special tour of the Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure scheduled to open next year at Walt Disney World.

The result of her song and love for the “Little Chef” has grown to Ratatouille, the TikTok Musical, scheduled to stream on Jan. 1, 2021.

But on Sunday, Dec. 27, while vacationing at Walt Disney World Resort, she experienced some Disney magic all her own when she was whisked backstage at EPCOT for a surprise sneak peek of the forthcoming attraction.

She given a walk-through of the ride by Brandon Peters of Walt Disney Imagineering.

Based on Disney and Pixar’s hit film “Ratatouille,” this family-friendly experience will invite guests to shrink down to the size of a rat for a culinary adventure with Chef Remy, racing across Gusteau’s kitchen floor. Disney cameras were on hand to capture Jacobsen’s reaction during and after her special tour.

Jacobsen said the she created her song “Ode to Remy” after seeing that the ride was under construction.
