Disney will release “Wreck-It-Ralph” video game in November
The trailer for the upcoming Disney movie “Wreck-It-Ralph” was a lot of fun. Since it all takes place in a video game world, you had to wonder if there would be a video game tie-in.
Sure enough, this week Activision Publishing announced that the video game will coincide with the Nov. 2 release of the movie this fall.
In “Wreck-It Ralph,” video game character Ralph (the voice of John C. Reilly) is tired of being overshadowed by Fix-It Felix (voice of Jack McBrayer), the “good guy” star of their game who always gets to save the day. But after decades of doing the same thing and seeing all the glory go to Felix, Ralph decides he’s tired of playing the role of a bad guy and sets off on a game-hopping journey across the arcade universe trying to prove he can be the hero. And yes, there will be cameos by Pac-Man and qBert.
The video game will pick up where the movie leaves off as Ralph partners with Fix-It Felix to save their friends and home from a huge Cy-Bug invasion. Pounding through all-new levels in the “Wreck-It Ralph” universe, like Sugar Rush, Hero’s Duty, and Fix-It Felix, Jr., players will have to use Ralph’s destructive strength to beat by the Cy-Bugs, while switching back to Felix to repair the damage.
More to come later.
