Disney confirms new Walt Disney statue still coming to Epcot

A new concept for a statue of Walt Disney that was unveiled at D23 Expo last year is still planned for a new area of Epcot, Zach Riddley, Walt Disney World Site Portfolio Executive confirmed on his Instagram account.

The new statue will be part of the new World Celebration Neighborhood in EPCOT called Dreamer’s Point. In addition to the statue, there will be lush gardens, a wishing tree, a new interactive fountain.

“Walt said, ‘EPCOT will always be in a state of becoming…’ and it’s that spirit of potential and possibility that inspires all we are bringing to life in the transformation of EPCOT,” Riddley wrote.
