Where to find Santa at Disney World this holiday season
While overseeing his massive toy and gift operation remotely (what you didn’t think the North Pole had access to Zoom?), Santa is making appearances around Walt Disney World’s parks and Disney Springs this season.
Unlike previous years, when it was possible to actually meet St. Nick and get a photo taken, the jolly old elf is practicing a bit of physical distancing this year and can only be seen in cavalcades and racing around some waterways.
So, you might catch a glimpse of him depending on the time of day and where you are. Though, you still have a better chance of seeing him at Disney World than trying to stay up all night guarding the tree in hopes of catching him. Besides, Prep and Landing would be able to distract you before the big guy arrived.
So, if you want to catch him here’s where to go, but be aware there are no times listed as to when he can be seen:
Magic Kingdom: During the day, Santa’s cavalcade, let by those crazy dancing reindeer, parade starting from Frontierland to Cinderella Castle and down Main Street, U.S.A. At night Santa rides the double-decker bus from starting down near the fire house on Main Street, to the castle and then back.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Where else would St. Nick drive-in a cool convertible by Hollywood Studios? The route goes down Hollywood Boulevard, hangs a left in front of the Chinese Theatre and motors down between Echo Lake and For the First Time in Forever: The Frozen Singalong.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom: St. Nick take a motorboat around the Discovery River. Here, you can catch him as he passes under the many bridge, the boardwalk between Africa and Padora – The World of Avatar (otherwise known as the long line for Avatar Flight of Passage and the amphitheater area that was used for Rivers of Light. A great spot to catch him is near the Relaxation Station across from the Caravan Stage Theatre.
EPCOT: Where else would you find Santa but, him going around the World – Showcase, that is. In a carriage pulled by horses, Santa is taken around the World Showcase a few times a day.
Disney Springs: This is probably the most entertaining version of Santa as he is led by a boat of eight reindeer around the Lake Buena Vista. Santa is joined by Mrs. Claus, as the two motor around.
