Fireworks testing taking place at Epcot after hours on Sept. 23

Disney will be testing fireworks on the World Showcase Lagoon at Epcot the night of Sept. 23 after the park closes.

The fireworks will be launched inside the park. The test is supposed to be finished by midnight. Guests who are staying on property might hear loud noises.

It is unknown what specifically the test will be. It could be the new nighttime show “HarmonioUS”  that will celebrate how Disney music can inspire people from around the world, featuring massive floating set pieces, custom-built LED panels, choreographed moving fountains, lights, pyrotechnics and lasers.

Currently, there are no nighttime shows or fireworks are taking place at Walt Disney World due to the coronavirus.
