Photos: A look at the new Epcot fountain pylons

Disney is continuing its construction of the new entrance to Epcot and has set three acrylic pylons in what will be the new fountain in front of Spaceship Earth.

The pylons stand over 16 feet tall and weigh more than 4,000 pounds, according to Zach Ridley, the architect, designer and Imagineer for Disney.

The pylons were digitally modeled then milled and polished to achieve the finish and reflection effect. No timeline has been announced on when the fountain set on when the fountain will be complete.
