Video: Using Ageing and Patina in storytelling at Animal Kingdom
One of the effective ways to give a location a sense of place and time is to make sure it looks old and aging the area is important, said Joe Rohde, the lead designer of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
In the second part of this series looking at Animal Kingdom, Rohde, with the help of his family, explains the use of patina – a thin usually green layer that forms naturally on the metals copper and bronze when they are exposed to the air for a long time.
