A look at the Cinderella Castle makeover at Magic Kingdom
When you walk into the Magic Kingdom and look down Main Street, you will find the park’s icon looks a little different.
Before the COVID-19 pandemic closed Walt Disney World in March, work had already begun on the Cinderella Castle transformation. It is now about complete.
A new color scheme was chosen by Walt Disney Imagineering as Walt Disney World is about to celebrate its 50th anniversary. Special elements, such as a sapphire dusting on the blue rooftops and gold trim, were added to make the iconic spires sparkle in the sun.
While the castle is mostly complete, there are still painters around applying the final cots of paint and other finishing touches.
