Disney Magical Express modifications go into effect July 16
A major change is coming to Disney’s Magical Express complimentary transport to and from Walt Disney World and Orlando International Airport.
Beginning July 16, 2020, luggage delivery service will not be provided for those arriving to and departing from Orlando International Airport.
Travelers will now be responsible for picking their checked luggage from the airport’s baggage claim area and taking it to the bus, so that it can be loaded for transport to their Disney World resort hotel.
Currently, travelers had the option of putting a tag on the luggage and not worry about picking it up, it would later be delivered to your room.
Now, guests’ luggage will travel with them to their hotel. There will be luggage assistance available at the front of Walt Disney World hotels, including luggage storage and/or transport to the room.
Another change deals with when leaving the resort. The resort airline check-in service is not being offered at this time.
Guests need to make sure they have their luggage and make sure it is loaded onto the bus so they can then check it in with their airline themselves once they reach the airport.
