Disney World Annual Passholder reopening preview events filled
It took about 30 minutes for the two Annual Passholder previews for the reopening of Walt Disney World to fill up.
Disney World is planning a phased reopening of its theme parks after being closed since March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom are scheduled to reopen on July 11. Epcot and Hollywood Studios is scheduled to reopen on July 15.
Prior to opening Annual Passholders are getting the opportunity to visit Magic Kingdom on July 9 or Animal Kingdom on July 10 and experience the reopening. E-mails went out this morning with a link to sign up and that quickly filled.
Disney is not saying how many slots were made available for the previews. Disney is limiting the capacity as the theme parks reopen and has instituted a new system in which people with tickets must make a reservation to enter the parks. However, Disney has not said what the actual capacity will be when the theme parks reopen.
When the parks reopen, there will be no stage shows, fireworks, nighttime spectaculars or Disney Character meet and greets.
