Key Disney World, Disney Parks reopening dates July-October 2020
The next month will be a busy one for the Disney Parks, as three resorts open worldwide, Tokyo, Paris and Walt Disney World in Orlando.
The month also brings stars from the NBA and MLS to Walt Disney World as the two sports restart their season at ESPN Wide World of Sports.
Here’s the timeline of all the key dates for the reopening of all the parks:
July 1: Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo Disney Sea reopen.
July 1: The Four Seasons Resort Orlando, near Fort Wilderness and Golden Oak and Bonnet Creek resorts, Hilton Bonnet Creek and Waldorf Astoria reopen.
July 1: Walt Disney World Cast Members can start registering for Cast Member previews.
July 7-8: Cast Member previews for Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom.
July 7: Nets, Nuggets, Magic, Suns, Jazz and Wizards travel to Walt Disney World.
July 8: Celtics, Mavericks, Clippers, Grizzlies, Heat, Pelicans, Thunder and Kings travel to Walt Disney World.
July 8: MLS restarts its season at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World.
July 9: Rockets, Pacers, Lakers, Bucks, 76ers, Trail Blazers, Spurs and Raptors travel to Walt Disney World.
July 9: Downtown Disney District at Disneyland reopens. (While the shopping district is still scheduled to reopen, the opening of the Disneyland Resort has been delayed.)
July 9: Annual Passholder preview for Magic Kingdom.
July 10: Annual Passholder preview for Animal Kingdom.
July 10: Disney’s Pop Century Resort and Disney’s Contemporary Resort open at Walt Disney World.
July 11: Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World reopen
July 13-14: Cast Member previews for Hollywood Studios and Epcot.
July 15: Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World reopen.
July 15: Disneyland Paris resort reopens including: Disneyland Park, Walt Disney Studios Park, Disney’s Newport Bay Club Hotel and Disney Village.
July 20: Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne at Disneyland Paris reopens.
July 29: Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin opens for those with new reservations. (MLS players and coaches will have already been staying since the beginning of July.)
July 29: Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort reopens at Walt Disney World.
July 30: NBA season restarts at ESPN Wide World of Sports at Disney World.
August 3: Disney’s Hotel Santa Fe at Disneyland Paris reopens.
August 12: Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Art of Animation Resort reopen at Walt Disney World.
August 17: Beginning of NBA Round 1 of postseason.
August 24: Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts reopen at Walt Disney World.
August 30: NBA Player guests arrive at Disney World.
August 31: Start of NBA Round 2 of postseason.
September 7: Disneyland Hotel at Disneyland Paris reopens.
September 15: Beginning of NBA conference finals.
September 21: Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa reopens at Walt Disney World.
September 30: Beginning of NBA Finals.
October 1: Disney’s BoardWalk Resort reopens at Walt Disney World.
October 12: Game 7 of the NBA Finals (if necessary)
October 14: Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort reopens at Walt Disney World.
