Disney World again extends ticket expiration dates due to closure
Walt Disney World has again updated its modifications, cancellations and refunds policy due to the resort’s closure for COVID-19.
Tickets that were scheduled to expire during the time the resort closed have been extended to Sept. 26, 2021. The original extension was to Dec. 15, 2020.
Here is the specific wording:
“Partially used multi-day theme park tickets with usage window impacted by park closure, or date-specific theme park tickets purchased through June 6, 2020, with a valid use period beginning March 12, 2020, or later, will automatically be extended to use any date through September 26, 2021. If you are unable to visit by September 26, 2021, you may apply the value of a wholly unused ticket toward the purchase of a ticket for a future date.”
In addition, Florida Resident Discover Disney Tickets have now been extended two more months and will now end on Sept. 30, 2020.
Disney World temporarily closed its theme parks on March 16, 2020. The parks are scheduled to reopen starting July 11, 2020.
