New ‘Galaxy’s Edge ILMxLAB virtual reality experience game is coming

Disney is developing a new ILMxLAB virtual reality game that will take you to Batuu in “Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge.”

The story, which takes place on Batuu in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland and Walt Disney World, is built on the lore of a land.

The new action-adventure experience will give fans the opportunity to live their own adventures in virtual reality. The original story will feature both new and iconic characters from the Star Wars galaxy,  Scott Trowbridge, Portfolio Creative Executive, Walt Disney Imagineering, wrote on the Disney Parks Blog.

There will be multiple gameplay styles and difficulty settings.

The story will take place between “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” and “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” on Batuu, with the action happening along the outskirts of Black Spire Outpost.

More details on the game, which will be released later this year, will be coming, according to Disney.
