Original Phineas and Ferb movie coming to Disney+ this summer
The boys are back in town. Well, actually they are going out of this world.
An original Phineas and Ferb movie is coming to Disney+ this summer, Disney announced today.
Titled “Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe,” Disney released two images when making its announcement. Earlier in the day, Disney+ announced a new Muppet series is being released on July 31.
In this new movie Phineas and Ferb travel across the galaxy to rescue their sister, Candace, who was updated by aliens and found utopia in the planet free of her pesky brothers.
Even though Disney Television Animation was closed due to COVID-19 in March, work on the show continued. Co-creator Dan Povenmire Tweeted out in April that he was doing animation fixes remotely and also recorded additional lines as Dr. Heinz Doffensmirtz at home.
