Toy Story Mania! opened in July at Tokyo DisneySea, and special events in each season, such as “Mickey & Duffy’s Spring Voyage” at Tokyo DisneySea and “Disney Natsu Matsuri” at Tokyo Disneyland, which were newly introduced in 2012, as well as the Halloween and Christmas seasonal events, were popular with visitors, according to the company.
In 2011 the attendance figures were 25.3 million. The previous record high attendance was in 2008 with 27.2 million visitors.
Since Tokyo Disneyland opened in 1983, 567.6 million people have entered the parks.
