Disney World now only accepting reservations for July 1 and later
Walt Disney World is now only accepting reservations starting July 1 and after. The resort previously was accepting reservations starting June 1.
It is unclear if it is because Disney does not plan on opening in June or if Disney has filled to whatever capacity number it has planned.
Cancellations have been taking place on a rolling basis. All vacations through the end of May have been canceled. Some who have had reservations starting on May 30 and into June have had their reservations cancelled.
Walt Disney World Senior VP Thomas Mazloum told the Orange County Economic Recovery Task Force earlier this week: “We do not have any opening date yet. As some of you may know we, at this point, we are taking bookings that were in June. That doesn’t mean we are opening in June.”
Disney also modified the Florida Resident Discovery Ticket to be used through Sept. 30, 2020, It was previously available to use through July 31, 2020
