New Minnie Mouse Dooney & Bourke collection brightens up your … closet?

One of the many, many things I find myself missing these days is rocking a cute purse, especially at the Disney parks.

My green alien backpack from Harvey’s languishes on a chair in the dining room. My Stitch cross-body (also Harvey’s) hasn’t seen the outside of the closet for months. And my adorable ear hat Dooney that I bust out when I wear a little black dress, well … when is the last time I wore something other than sweats?

I find myself thinking about cute bags because of the new Minnie Mouse collection from Dooney & Bourke. The bright, cheerful pattern — white with black and pink accents — makes me think of a lot of things I miss, like spring, and cute dresses, and leaving the house. The tote bag is especially charming, with its tableau of Minnie sipping coffee at a Main Street cafe in front of a castle, surrounded by butterflies. It’s all just so darn optimistic, even as Minnie is alone in every scene — appropriately social distance, I guess.

The collection includes four bags, three of which are priced at $268, making it all the more irritating that ShopDisney doesn’t honor the passholder discount. Check them out:
