Make your own magic: 7 ways to relive your vacations through photos
There are literally thousands of pictures on my iPhone. Probably hundreds of Photo Pass photos in my My Disney Experience Account. There are even a few books my husband and I made from vacations past gathering dust on a shelf.
But how often do I look at them? I think you can guess the answer to that.
Now that we’re all cooped up, there’s never been a better time to vacation vicariously through your photos.
Today, to add a little magic to your day, take some time to go through your old vacation photos.
If you are within a year of your last Disney vacation, you can still see your PhotoPass photos in My Disney Experience.
You don’t have to do anything fancy with your photos. You can just share them with your family and talk about your favorite things from your trips.
Or you can finally display some of your favorites. You can make a book — and promise yourself you’ll look at it — or do something less intensive:
- Print them out and cover the fridge with them.
- Make a Mickey-shaped collage on the wall.
- If you have clothespins, string up a line and hang your pictures with clothespins or clips. Even paperclips would do.
- If you have a chalk wall — or a wall you can paint — you can tape up your pictures and draw frames and messages around them with chalk.
- Make a photo bunting: Choose photos you can cut into a triangle with the wide point at the top. Take a length of ribbon and glue the photos so they hang from the ribbon.
- Do you have an old clipboard lying around? It can be a frame for photos that are easy to swap out.
- Have a smart TV? You may be able to display your photos on your TV. (Personally, I know we can do this … but haven’t bothered. I suspect I’m not alone in that.)
