6 aerial photos of ongoing Epcot construction (Feb. 2020)

It has been a while since we have revisited the construction around Epcot from the air.

But thanks to @bioreconstruct, who documents all of the construction taking place at the theme parks around Orlando, we get some special glimpses from the air of the work taking place during the major overhaul Epcot is now under. The photos were taken Feb. 29, 2020.

The park’s reimagining is now dividing it into four neighborhoods. The World Showcase will celebrate the culture, cuisine and architecture from around the world. The current Future World will be divided into World Nature, World Discovery and World Celebration. Here are more details.

Remember where there was once a Fountain of Nations behind Spaceship Earth? All gone, as well as most of Illuminations East.

Aerial look at demolition of Innoventions West. Note all trees cut. Also seen is post that was center of a shade structure and also site of Pin Central. Also, remember this is where the Fountain of Nations was located. (Photo by @bioreconstruct)

Here you get more context of the construction taking place on the closed area behind Spaceship Earth.

Below you see to the far left Test Track. To the right of that is the new Space 220 that is connected to Mission: Space in the center. To the right is the gold dome of what will be the new Play pavilion.

At center is some Mission Space structure. This is also a view of Space 220 and Play pavilion. (Photo by @bioreconstruct)
