Second major Disneyland ride to undergo major refurbishment in 2020
The Indiana Jones Adventure in Disneyland will under a major overhaul in 2020, according to a building permit filed by Disney in Anaheim.
The improvement to the attraction includes replacing the set bridge to include a steel structure, rockwork and planks, the permit states.
The ride, located in Adventureland, will be celebrating its 25th anniversary on March 4.
We earlier reported that Snow White’s Scary Adventures, the classic Fantasyland ride at Disneyland, will undergo a major refurbishment in 2020. According to a permit filed with the city of Anaheim, show sets, props and scenes will be replaced. New beams and electrical upgrades will also take place.
The Indiana Jones Adventure brings you past intricate booby traps to the Temple of the Forbidden Eye. You inspect carvings and frescos that tell the story of Mara, a powerful deity who promises great treasures—and vengeance to those foolish enough to gaze into its all-seeing eyes.
After boarding a troop transport you confront dangers, like precarious precipices over molten lava, screaming mummies, swarms of giant insects, spear-throwing wraiths, collapsing bridges, slithering snakes—and a massive rolling boulder.
