Holiday filming cancels some Magic Kingdom entertainment Nov. 9-10

The annual filming of the various  ABC and Disney Channel holiday specials at the Magic Kingdom in Disney World will mean that a few shows will not be taking place during the Veterans Day weekend.

The specific impacts will take place Nov. 9 and Nov. 10, when:

  • The Let the Magic Begin (the welcome show) will be audio only, no fireworks.
  • The Move It! Shake It! MousekeDance It! Street Party has been canceled.
  • Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire (the castle stage show that is usually performed throughout the day) performances are canceled.
  • A Frozen Holiday Wish is canceled.
  • Once Upon a Time is canceled.

The scheduling is subject to change, so make sure to check the entertainment guides when visiting.

No dates have yet been announced on when the holiday shows will be airing. Nor has there been any announcements on who will be performing.
