‘The Little Mermaid’ live coming to ABC in November

To honor the 30^th anniversary of “The Little Mermaid,” The Wonderful World of Disney and ABC will present a live musical version of the “The Little Mermaid.”

Auli’i Cravalho, the voice of Moana will play Ariel in the live studio version. Grammy, Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winning R&B artist, actor and producer Queen Latifah is set to play Ursula. Grammy-winning artist Shaggy will voice the beloved crustacean, Sebastian.

This special tribute will have the live musical performances interwoven into the broadcast of the original feature film, Karey Burke, president, ABC Entertainment said.

This hybrid format will feature intricate sets and costumes, with music from the original animated film and the Broadway stage version.

“The Wonderful World of Disney presents The Little Mermaid Live!” will air Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019, 8 to 10 p.m. EST on ABC.
