Fountain of Nations at Epcot closing as part of the major refurbishment

The Fountain of Nations has been added to the list of attractions, shops and restaurants closing in early September for the major refurbishment taking place at Epcot.

Disney World on its Twitter account stated: “As part of the largest transformation in the park’s history, FountainofNations will close on Sept. 8, 2019. We look forward to honoring our past and celebrating the future with our Epcot family soon.”

The list of closings includes everything in the area between Spaceship Earth and the World Showcase Promenade. Here is the complete list.

No further details have been released as to what will happen to the area. The plans are expected to be released during D23 Expo 2019 in late August.
