New Fort Wilderness parking restrictions are now in effect
The parking lot for the Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground at Disney World is now only going to be available to guests who have a reservation.
The means the parking lot will only be open to people staying at the resort, those with dining reservations, show reservations or participating in any of the activities.
If you just want to visit the resort or head on over for a quick service meal you will need to take Disney transportation. You can grab boat and bus service from the Magic Kingdom. There is also additional boat service from Wilderness Lodge and the Contemporary Resort.
The tightening up on parking is most likely due to the construction preparation work for the new Reflections: A Disney Lakeside Lodge. Scheduled to open in 2022, this new Disney mixed-use resort will be along Bay Lake between the Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.
