Disney World adds Extra, Extra Magic Hours, including for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
Walt Disney World is adding extra Extra Magic Hours to three of its theme parks this fall in anticipation of the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Hollywood Studios.
The Extra Magic Hour benefit is for those guests staying at Disney Resort hotels and other select hotels. Most of them begin on Aug. 29, 2019, the same day the new 14-acre Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens. This expansion of this benefit appears to be another method Disney is using to manage the large crowds anticipated to come with the opening of the new land.
Here’s the schedule:
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Sept. 1 – Nov. 2 – The Extra Magic Hours will be daily from 6 to 9 a.m. and will include entrance toStar Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, plus Toy Story Land attractions and select other attractions. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and its experiences subject to capacity.
On Aug. 29-31, Hollywood Studios will be open at 6 a.m. for all guests. There will not be Extra, Extra Magic Hours on those days.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Aug. 29-Nov. 2 – The Extra Magic Hours will be daily from 7 to 8 a.m., featuring Pandora – The World of Avatar and other attractions throughout the park.
Magic Kingdom
Aug. 29-Nov. 2 – The Extra Magic Hours will take place daily from 7 to 8 a.m., featuring attractions in Fantasyland and Tomorrowland.
Epcot
Extra Magic Hours will also continue to be available only on select days.
Extra, Extra Magic Hours benefit at the Walt Disney World Resort requires a valid theme park admission and hotel ID. Guests without the Park Hopper Option or Park Hopper Plus Option must spend the day at the same park where they’d like to enjoy the Extra, Extra Magic Hours benefit.
