A new version of Soarin’ will be unveiled at California Adventure at Disneyland Resort in the next couple of years.
Soarin’ Over California will change to a world outlook, according to cast members. The ride is being re-themed to Soarin’ Over The World, although it is not known if the attraction will take that name.
The ride is now themed as if it was in a hanger at the original Edwards Air Force Base testing facility with an area paying tributes to California’s aviation history. The ride opened on Feb. 8, 2001
The entryway will be changed will be changed to reflect the new ride. No more official information on available on the change is available, but should be taking place in the next 18 months or so, according to various cast members.
There are no changes yet scheduled or announced for the attraction currently at Epcot in Disney World.
Filming has already taken place at California Adventure.
Now, what are the other places around the world? Unknown, but wouldn’t it be cool if the attraction had the Eiffel Tower, Big Ben, The Great Wall of China and the Grand Canyon. Can’t wait for an official announcement.
