Concrete forms for first floor of Star Wars Hotel are being set

Forms for concrete are being set up as construction for the new Star Wars hotel adjacent to Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World continues.

The new hotel will give guests a full immersive experience of being in space and visiting the planet Batuu where the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is located.

While the first phase of Galaxy’s Edge opens at Disney World on Aug. 29, 2019, the hotel is expected to open in 2021. Hotel guests will depart together for multiday Stars Wars adventures by boarding a starship alive with characters and stories.

During their time at the hotel, all guests are encouraged to dress in Star-Wars inspired attire. Every resort window will have a view of space.
