Details: Cinderella Wishing Well at the Magic Kingdom

The detail and thought put into everything around Walt Disney World is always amazing. It’s always fun to stop, take a deep breath and a close look at anything you come upon. So, we are going to do that with the Cinderella Wishing Well.

Located along the path between Fantasyland and Tomorrowland on the right side of the Cinderella Castle in the Magic Kingdom, is a small retreat that is a perfect picture spot.

This is more than a place where you can pitch in a coin to make a wish. This well also tells a story. Look closely at the sides and base of the well and you will see bird and mice trying to make a dress for Cinderella.

They do this while trying to elude Lady Tremaine’s cat, Lucifer, who with a sneaky and wicked personality hopes to someday devour the mice.

This well was sculpted by famed Disney Legend, Imagineer and sculptor Blaine Gibson, who also sculpted the “Partners” statue and worked on many other attractions in the parks.
