Iger: Tomorrowland renovation at Disney World will come ‘tomorrow’
While the main news coming out the Walt Disney Co. shareholder meeting was the opening dates for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, there was one question from the audience concerning the revamping of Disney World World’s
This area of the park has been a sore point for many guests as it has not looked a lot like “Tomorrow” for quite some time. The closure of Stitch’s Great Escape does not leave a lot going on in the land. While there has been some paint refreshing around the land, the area is looking its age.
The Tron ride, currently under construction, will bring something new to the land, but this place of tomorrow is in need of a revamp.
Here is what Iger had to say about the Tomorrowland’s future:
“We’ve been working with the Imagineers to consider a number of different concepts for Tomorrowland. The’ve got some great plans that we’ve recently reviewed but nothing that we’re ready to announce at this point. Expect in the years ahead to be a lot of Tomorrowland activity. A lot of Tomorrowland activity, tomorrow.”
