Latest look at the space-themed restaurant coming to Epcot
Construction of the new space-themed restaurant coming to Epcot in Disney World is moving now at a good clip.
The circular walls that will hold the giant screen showing views of space are erected. More bricks are being laid outside of the existing steel structure.

The name: While nothing official
Where it is located: It is being built between Mission: Space and Test Track. If you take a ride on Test Track
What you will experience: The concept is that is is a restaurant floating in space. Think of it as if
Upon entering the building you head to the departure lobby to check in. From there you enter one of two transportation chambers which “launch you” to the space station.
The restaurant, which will seat about 350 people and features a 250-foot long digital screen wrapping around the wall showing off the views of space.
Just like the space station, the crew will be international. “Like in the real International Space Station, represent your country in this restaurant. We will recruit European candidates which role will be to make the guests feel like they are in space,” according to
Who is operating the restaurant?: The Patina Restaurant Group, led by Nick Valenti, is operating the restaurant. They operate other restaurants around Disney World
When will it open?: At this point the restaurant is scheduled to open in 2021.
What type of food will be served?: Nothing has been announced concerning the menu. Since this is being viewed as an international space station, we can speculate that the menu might have a diverse selection of food from around the globe. Maybe, the best of Epcot, with of course some signature foods and drinks. You have to wonder if there will be a Tang-flavored cocktail.
