Photos: Tomorrowland Speedway torn up for Tron ride construction

While construction has been taking place for months on the new Tron ride at Disney World, you can now see the work taking place on the track areas of the Tomorrowland Speedway and Walt Disney World Railroad.

Both, The Tomorrow Land Speedway track and the train tracks are being altered for the Tron Lightcycle Power Run, which is scheduled to open in 2021. 

This new coaster is based on the Tron movies. Guests board a light cycle and take a ride through the Grid. A version of this exists at Shanghai Disneyland.

You can also see the construction taking place if when riding the People Mover. Look to the left as you approach Space Mountain.
