Disney planning to remake ‘Pete’s Dragon’
Walt Disney Studios is planning on remaking “Pete’s Dragon” the 1977 live-action/animation movie.
The new film will star Oakes Fegely and Oona Laurence. Fegely will portray the title character, and Laurence will portray Natalie, a new role created for this new version.
The 1977 musical focused on Pete, an orphan, and his best friend Elliot, “an invisible green dragon, who wander into the seaside village of Passamaquoddy, the townspeople think he’s behind a slew of hilarious mishaps. But after a daring rescue, they change their tune and believe in Pete’s fire-breathing buddy,” according to the official synopsis.
No release date has been announced on this new version.
