New Disney Skyliner will start operating in Fall 2019

The Disney Skyliner gondola transportation system at Walt Disney World will start transporting guest in fall of 2019, Bob Chapek, Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Consumer Products, announced.

The Disney Skyliner connects Epcot and Hollywood Studios with four Disney resorts – Art of Animation, Pop Century, Caribbean Beach and the new Riviera Resort.

The skyliner system will not only act as another mode of transportation but also an attraction. The system will provide never-before-seen views across the World Showcase while entering Epcot. The system will also provide a variety of views around Disney World.

The installation of the more than six miles of cable that will be used on the new Disney Skyliner system has started. Many of the Disney Skyliner stations are nearing completion and the support towers now dot the landscape of Disney
