Disney on Broadway celebrates 20 years with a TV special

Disney will be celebrating its 20 years on Broadway with a TV special on ABC this Dec. 14.

The one hour special, to be hosted by Jesse Tyler Ferguson star of ABC’s “Modern Family,” will bring viewers backstage on “The Lion King”, “Aladdin” and the North American Tour of “Newsies.”

The show will feature commentary, anecdotes and the creation of the eight Disney Broadway shows: “Beauty and the Beast,” “The Lion King,” “AIDA,” “Tarzan,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Mary Poppins,” “Newsies” and “Aladdin.”
