Mickey, Minnie getting new outfits for 90th anniversary
Mickey and Minnie are getting some new outfits to celebrate their 90th anniversary.
Sure, everyone has been making a big deal about Mickey Mouse’s 90th birthday coming up on Nov. 18 that many are forgetting it is also Minnie’s 90h birthday as well.
To celebrate, the couple is getting some new clothes. Their outfits will reflect the party spirit of the celebration, Senior Costume Designer Joe Kucharski told the Disney Parks Blog.
Mickey Mouse’ will have a crisp white suit with colorful confetti, while Minnie Mouse will don a puff-sleeve dress adorned with pompons and a buoyant bubble skirt.
“These playful bursts of color and texture are set against crisp white, meant to evoke the nostalgic feeling of frosting, crisp linens and tissue paper,” Kucharski said.
The new outfits will debut at Disney World on Jan. 18, 2019 as part of the “Move It! Shake It! MousekeDance It! Street Party.”

- Hong Kong Disneyland starting Nov. 18.
- Shanghai Disneyland on Nov. 18 only
- Disneyland beginning January 2019
- Disney Cruise Line summer 2019
