Star Wars #1 will be on the stands Jan. 14, 2015.

The Marvel comic, which followed the events of “Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope” will be the first of new comics being released. StarWars.com has an exclusive look at some of the pages in the new comic.

Other Star Wars comics will be released as well. These stories will fill-in “previously unexplored gaps” in the history of the characters.

The first ongoing series Star Wars is being done by Jason Aaron and John Cassady. The second ongoing series will be called Star Wars: Darth Vader and helmed by Kieron Gillen and Salvador Larroca. This series will begin in February 2015.

The third will be a five-issue miniseries called Star Wars: Princess Leia, created by Mark Waid and Terry Dodson.
