Donald Duck is part of strange Disney Christmas tradition in Sweden
Many families and countries have “different” Christmas traditions, and Disney is part of a few.
Here in the U.S., the one tradition is to sit and watch the Disney Parks parade on ABC. But there is a stranger day of Disney television – in Sweden.
At 3 p.m. in Sweden every Dec. 24, the nation gathers in front of their television sets to watch the 1958 Walt Disney Presents Christmas special, “From All of Us to All of You.“
Included in the shorts are Piff och Puff (Chip and Dale), Musse Pigg (Mickey Mouse) and Långben (Goofy).
Jeremy Stahl has written a great article explaining the entire tradition. It is worth the read.
