Mickey Mouse as a hot air balloon

There was a time when you could look into the sky and see the happy face of Mickey Mouse soaring through the air.

The balloon, dubbed “The Happiest Balloon on Earth,” is 98 feet tall. Now, if you were to add Mickey’s body to the face it would be over 200 feet tall.

The balloon has not made an appearance since 2016.

Height: 98 feet from the ground to the top of ears.

Weight: Estimate 410 lbs.

Circumference: 168 feet

Diameter: 53 feet

Thread used to make balloon: 9 miles

Fabric for Mouse Ears: About 750 square yards

Mickey’s nose: 5.5 feet in diameter, big enough for a child to stand inside it

Size of the pupils of Mickey’s eyes: 6 feet in diameter
