New aerial video of Slinky Dog Dash ride released
Just days before Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios in Disney World opens, Disney has released a new aerial video showing Slinky Dog Dash in action.
The video (below) shows the width and scope of the coaster. You can also see a new view of the Alien Swirling Saucers Building.
This new 11-acre land is designed to make guests feel like they have shrunk to the size of a toy. The setting is Andy’s backyard from Disney-Pixar’s “Toy Story” franchise. There, you will find Andy’s toys— Buzz, Woody, Jessie and the gang—plus Toy Story Mania, Slinky Dog Dash and Alien Swirling Saucers.
The Slinky Dog Dash is the big roller coaster. Andy assembled his Mega Coaster Play Kit and combined it with a number of other toys to create a special adventure. To ride the coaster you board Andy’s trusted Dachshund friend, Slinky Dog. Slinky Dog bends and twists his coils around curves, hills, bridges and drops as riders zip around Toy Story Land.
Across from Toy Story Mania is the Alien Swirling Saucers ride. The plotline is that Andy won this game at Pizza Planet. The game features dozens of three-eyed aliens spinning through the Universe of Pepperonia, and you go along for the ride. On the ride you pass Pepperonia planets and Pizza Space Stations while “The Claw” hangs overhead.
