Walk to the Dark Side in new Star Wars shoes from Uggs
“Give yourself to the Dark Side … We have Uggs.” — Darth Vader
Ok, that’s not a direct quote. But soon it could be. On May the 4th — unofficial Star Wars Day — Uggs is launching a limited edition line of shoes and boots for men, women and children that Darth Vader himself might have worn.
The shoes are pretty subtle as far as theming. There’s a Star Wars label on the back, and each pair has a Darth Vader quote on an inner label. White specs on the piping around the footbed evoke the stars.
The collection will be available at select retailers and online. Prices range from $100 to $225.
Uggs will be releasing additional collections leading up to the Dec. 18 release of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” in theaters. Each collection will be inspired by a different character.
A little bit of trivia: These aren’t the first Uggs in the Star Wars universe. There was a character named Xerius Ugg in the 2008 Slaves of the Republic comic book series.
