Limited release banshee for Pandora anniversary coming out May 27
For the first anniversary of the opening of Pandora-The World of Avatar Disney is introducing a limited release interactive banshee.
The bioluminescent landscape-inspired banshee will be available in The Rookery at Windtraders in Animal Kingdom on May 27, 2018. It will have a display perch and a Certificate of Authenticity.
“The interactive banshees are wildly popular with Guests exploring Pandora,” Katie Thompson, Global Merchandise Strategy at Disney Parks Merchandise, explained to the Disney Parks Blog. “This banshee celebrates the first anniversary of this exotic land at the theme park, and offers guests a unique collectible from their visit.”
The banshee also contains authentic sounds and three ranges of motion – mouth, head, and wings – that are controlled by hand. The price of the banshee has not been announced.
Annual passholders will be among the first to be able to purchase the banshee. From 7 to 8 a.m., before the park opens to the general public a special shopping event will take place at Windtraders.
