Avengers: Infinity War now 4th largest box office hit of all time
“The Avengers: Infinity War” is now the 4th largest worldwide box office hit with $1.813 billion in earnings.
The movie is also just $187 million shy of joining the exclusive $2 billion box office club, which now includes only three films – “Avatar,” “Titanic” and “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”
“Deadpool” took over the top box office slot this past weekend and worldwide earned $301.3 million. While Avengers dropped to the second slot it still earned $113 million worldwide this past weekend, according to Boxofficemojo.
“Avengers: Infinity War” has been out for four weekends. Movies stay in theaters from anywhere from 14 to 24 weekends, meaning there is still time for Marvel blockbuster to make another $187 million to hit the $2 billion club, even if it were out for just another 10 weekends.
