What are the height requirements for Walt Disney World rides?

A trip to Walt Disney World with young children will inevitably bring up the question –  How tall do you have to be to ride (put in name of attraction here)? Meeting those height requirements opens up new experiences and and new adventures on trips.

For children it can mean they can finally sit next to their parent on the big rides, or now can join their sibling to share the experience.

The majority of attractions at the four theme parks and two water parks at Walt Disney World can have no height requirements. The benchmarks for the coasters and faster rides are 35, 38, 40, 44 and 48 inches.

Walt Disney World cast members will enforce the height requirement for safety reasons. The reason the requirements exist is normally to make sure that safety bars and harnesses can secure the guest on the ride.

Here are the latest ride height requirements for all the attractions at Walt Disney World, including some that have not yet reopened and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure opening in October.
