Toy Story Land entertainment, merchandise revealed
New entertainment for the soon to open Toy Story Land at Walt Disney World will include a Green Army Man boot camp and new merchandise will include Slinky Dog ears.
The entertainment and merchandise were unveiled during a special Good Morning America segments and a live Facebook reveal Wednesday morning. (see below)
When the new land opens June 30, 2018, the idea is for people to enter the land and feel like they have shrunken down to the size of a toy.
Guests will also be able to ride Slinky Dog Dash, a roller coaster Andy has assembled from his Mega Coaster Play Kit, take a spin on Alien Swirling Saucers, a galactic play set that Andy won at Pizza Planet, or walk through a new carnival game box to experience Toy Story Mania!, which has been a guest-favorite attraction at the park since it opened in 2008.
“We are asking the guests to join in the entertainment of this land. You are actually going to play with our toys,” Tom Vazzana, show director for Walt Disney World, said.
There will be two pieces of entertainment that center around the Green Army Man.
There will be a boot camp procession where the Green Army men walk to a location with Pixar balls, oversize crayons and Sarge Says signs. Guests are encouraged to play. The Green Army Men then close up and move to another location in the 11-acre land.
There will also be an honorary boot camp where guests are sworn in to become an honorary Green Army Man.
Another piece of entertainment, Vazzana said, includes Sarge and the Green Army Man Drum Corps, who will march through the land several times a day. As previously reported, Woody, Jessie and Buzzlightyear will be doing their meet and greets with guests in the land.

There are two new head bands created with styles from the aliens and Slkinky Dog. The alien eyes move.
This Light-Up Slinky Dog is not only a toy but a fashion accessory. The rings light up.
In addition there will be plenty of t-shirts for kids and adults, as well as a Buzz Lightyear bubble maker and new pins to trade.
