For me, the Electrical Water Pageant on Seven Seas Lagoon is one of those Disney World events that always surprises and delights me.
It surprises me because I never quite know when it’s going to show up. And it delights me because, well, what’s not to love about a smiling orange octopus waving his arms in the middle of Seven Seas Lagoon?
Now I can take that orange octopus with me anywhere: For a limited time, Disney is selling Electrical Water Pageant t-shirts for men, women and kids. Prices are $27.95 for adult sizes, $22.95 for kids. The t-shirts are available through Sunday, June 14. Expect delivery in 3-5 weeks.
The Electrical Water Pageant has been floating around Bay Lake and the Seven Seas Lagoon regularly since Walt Disney World opened in 1971.
One of my favorite ways to see it: Schedule dinner at Narcoosee’s at the Grand Floridian about an hour before showtime, then you get a front-row seat for the Electrical Water Pageant and for the fireworks later in the evening.
For those of you who don’t want to miss the show next time you’re at Disney World, there is a schedule posted. Times can vary by several minutes. If you’re at one of the resorts, you should check with the front desk to confirm the time.
- Polynesian Village Resort – 9:00 PM
- Grand Floridian Resort & Spa (including Narcoossee’s) – 9:15 PM
- Wilderness Lodge – 9:30 PM
- Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground – 9:45 PM
- Contemporary – 10:10 PM; in instances when Wishes Nighttime Spectacular takes place at 10:00 PM, the Electrical Water Pageant will begin shortly following its conclusion
- Right outside the entrance of Magic Kingdom park – 10:35 PM, during Extended Theme Park Hours only
