Photos: Why the Move It! Shake It! parade is worth your time

The idea of a parade is normally to sit back and watch the floats go by and wave at the characters in the hopes they catch your eye and wave back.

Disney decided change that a bit creating a parade that turns into a dance party at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. The Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It! Street Party begins at the bottom of Main Street, U.S.A. and head toward the Hub in front of Cinderella Castle where the floats stop and the popular music comes on.

The idea behind this parade/street party is interactivitity. Guests are encourages to join in, take photos, share them online using the tag #MoveitShakeitPics. Some of those photos are later then displayed on the large floats that are part of the event.

After about 10 to 15 minutes of dancing, the parade heads back down Main Street.

So go out and dance your Disney off when the parade comes out.
