New Pandora Utility Suit will be walking around Animal Kingdom starting April 22
A Pandora Utility Suit is coming to Animal Kingdom’s Pandora – The World of AVATAR at the Walt Disney World Resort starting April 22, 2018.
The Pandora Conservation Initiative (PCI) pilot in the suit will tell the story of Pandora and what it’s like to be on the planet, said Tony Giordano, show director of Disney Parks Entertainment.
The suit, created in partnership between Lightstorm Entertainment, Disney Parks Live Entertainment, Michael Curry Studios and Walt Disney Imagineering, will be introduced on the 20th anniversary of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
These are suits that have been developed by scientists to go out into the wilderness to explore the plant life and the animals of Pandora, Laura Offerdahl executive producer of Disney Parks Live Entertainment.
This is a giant exo-carrier suit with giant hands that are articulated are not the suits that appear in the film “Avatar.”
This is “reintroducing this amazing world to our guests and building on it,” Giordano said.
The Times Guide and the My Disney Experience App will have when these storytellers will be able to be seen.
