FastPass tier changes coming to Hollywood Studios due to Toy Story Land

The opening of the new Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios at Disney World looks like it will bring some changes to the FastPass tier system at the park.

Club level members, who can make FastPass reservations 90 days prior to their reservations, have reported that you will only be able to select one FastPass for the rides at the new Toy Story Land at a time.

While you can make up to three FastPass reservations in advance per day there are tiers, meaning you can choose one attraction from Tier 1 and two attractions from Tier 2.

Disney has not yet announced the changes, but according to MrInfinity on a series of posts on DisBoards.com, the following breakdown has been revealed:

Tier 1 attractions where you choose 1:

Tier 2 attractions where you choose 2:

  • Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage
  • Disney Junior Live on StageFantasmic!
  • For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration
  • Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular
  • Muppet*Vision 3-D
  • Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster
  • Star Tours: The Adventures Continue
  • Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
  • Voyage of the Little Mermaid

This is a change from the current system where Beauty and the Beast, Fantasmic!, the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starrring Aerosmith and Toy Story Midway Mania! were all considered Tier 1 choices.

This means that all of the three rides at Toy Story Land are Tier 1 so, you would end up in Stand By lines to try to ride all in one day, ride or head to the park on three seperate days.

This is similar as to what happened when Pandora-The World of Avatar at Animal Kingdom opened. Both of those rides are considered Tier 1.
