Wine Bar George offering special wine tasting, dinner events for DVC members

Disney Vacation Club Members can partake in special wine and cheese tastings and special dinners at the new Wine Bar George opening in Disney Springs.

From June through August there will be special weekly wine tastings taking place on Tuesdays from 3:30 to 5 p.m. and special monthly dinners July, August and September.

The new restaurant at Disney Springs is being opened by Master Sommelier George Miliotes.

Each weekly wine and cheese tasting consists of a sampling of six different types of wines from acclaimed and well-known wineries, as well as from wineries that are up and coming.

Each tasting experience also includes a sampling of cheese and charcuterie that complements the wines served, completing the full experience.

The announced schedule is:

• Tuesday, June 5: Red wine from around the world
• Tuesday, June 12: White wine from around the world
• Tuesday, June 19: Pinot Noir from around the world
• Tuesday, June 26: “Rosè All Day”
• Tuesday, July 3: ”Wild Wines”
• Tuesday, July 10: Red wine from around the world
• Tuesday, July 17: White wine from around the world
• Tuesday, July 24: Pinot Noir from around the world
• Tuesday, July 31: “Rosè All Day”
• Tuesday, August 7: “Wild Wines”
• Tuesday, August 14: Red wine from around the world
• Tuesday, August 21: White wine from around the world
• Tuesday, August 28: Pinot Noir from around the world

The price is $45 and includes tax and gratuity. Reservations can be made by calling (800) 800-9800.

The monthly dinners will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. and include a reception with Miliotes followed by a three-course meal with wine pairings.
